What if you could experience life in another country without putting your own life on hold?
Spend 10 days living in Mérida alongside a small group of women who are building businesses, working remotely, pursuing personal projects, and exploring what life elsewhere could look like.
This isn't a retreat, a tour, or a vacation where every minute is planned. It's a shared living experience with a few thoughtfully curated activities, opportunities to connect, and plenty of freedom to do your own thing.
There will be slow mornings, coffee, journaling, meditation, and intention-setting. Trips to local markets, grocery shopping together, exploring Mérida, and a curated weekend adventure beyond the city.
Some experiences are planned. Others will come together naturally.
You'll have your own goals, your own work, and the freedom to create your own rhythm — with a community around you when you want it.
You don't have to be an experienced digital nomad. You just have to be curious about what life somewhere else could look like.

Absolutely. You’re welcome to extend your stay before or after the official A Life Elsewhere experience. You’ll simply arrange your additional accommodations and travel separately.
If you want to arrive early or stay later, I’m happy to help you think through your plans and share recommendations for the area.

Possibly! I will be based in Mérida around the experience dates, but availability outside of the official experience isn’t guaranteed.
The hosted portion of A Life Elsewhere has a defined start and end date. Once the experience ends, your additional days are considered independent travel time.
Think of it as: we start together, and you’re welcome to keep exploring.
However - I will be in Mérida from november to at least mid december!

There will be planned experiences, meals, outings and opportunities to explore together, along with plenty of free time to work, rest or do your own thing.
This isn't a packed tour or a retreat where every minute is scheduled.
You’ll have structure without losing your freedom.

You have a couple of easy options:
Fly directly into Mérida (MID)
This is the easiest option. Mérida International Airport is about a 30-minute ride from the coliving space.Fly into Cancún (CUN)
Cancún is a larger international airport with more flight options. From there, you can travel to Mérida by:Bus — approximately 3 hours
Shuttle — approximately 3 hours
Train — approximately 3 hours
Before the experience, you'll receive detailed arrival information and recommendations for getting from the airport to Mérida.
My recommendation? If the flight price and schedule make sense, flying directly into Mérida is the simplest. But Cancún can be a great option if it gives you better flight choices or pricing.

Payment & Cancellation Policy
Deposit: A $300 deposit is required to reserve your room and secure your spot.
Remaining balance: Due November 21, 2026.
Application deadline: November 1, 2026, or until all rooms are filled.
Cancellations
Before November 14: Your deposit is refundable.
November 14 onward: Your $300 deposit becomes nonrefundable.
Replacement guest: If you find a replacement participant who is approved and pays in full, you'll receive a full refund of payments made.
Missed balance payment: If your balance isn't received by November 21, you'll be notified and given a short grace period to pay before your reservation may be canceled and your room released.
If the experience is canceled by the organizer, payments made toward the experience will be refunded. Flights and other independently booked expenses are your responsibility. Travel insurance is recommended.
By submitting your deposit, you agree to these payment and cancellation terms.
If I can fill your spot from the waitlist, I'll refund what you've paid minus a $100 admin fee

For a comfortable trip, I recommend budgeting around $50–$75 USD per day for personal spending.
That can cover meals or grocery shopping, drinks, local transportation, shopping, and other personal expenses.
You may spend less or more depending on your travel style. Mérida has plenty of affordable local food and transportation options, so you don't need a huge daily budget to enjoy the city.
For 10 days, a $500–$750 personal spending budget is a good starting point.
Your flights, personal shopping and anything not specifically listed as included in your A Life Elsewhere experience are separate.
Exchange rates and local prices can change, so consider this a planning estimate rather than a fixed cost.

The coliving is in a quiet neighborhood of Aleman. It’s about a 30- 35-minute walk to downtown, about a 30-minute bus ride, or an 8-minute Uber ride. We also have a bike you can use to explore!

A Life Elsewhere is curated for a group of like-minded women. The experince is only designed for woemn at this time. However, men are welcomed as partners and guest visitors!

Yes, Mérida is widely recognized as one of the safest cities in North America. In fact, international safety indexes consistently rank Mérida as the safest major city in Mexico. Solo female travelers and expats consistently report feeling completely at ease walking through the city, even at night.
